Solid waste still needs prompt removal. Rinsing frequency and any compatible cleaner depend on pet use, weather, water access, and the product-care instructions.
Heat and comfort
Artificial turf can become hot in direct sun. Test the surface before paw contact, provide shade and water, and limit use during peak heat. Wetting may cool it only temporarily.
Materials and documentation
Ask for the exact turf and infill names plus current manufacturer specifications. Artificial turf is not intended for chewing or ingestion, and blanket chemical-safety claims should not replace product documentation.
